Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing all resources from the start to completion of projects within budgetary and timeframe requirements.
Estimating, supervising staff and reviewing tender submissions.
Plan all construction operations ensuring that deadlines are met.
Delivering a high standard of work and the ability to organize and manage the site team.
Manage all internal and external relationships in particular building strong working relationships with clients.
Successfully negotiate contracts with external contractors.
Manage and Supervise – team of Engineers, Architects & Construction Workers
Recruit – team of Engineers, Architects & Construction Workers
Manage Complete Human Resource Circle – from Recruitment, Training, Allocation & Wages
Budget Management – Prepare estimates, Allocate funds & manage expenses
Arrange and Lead weekly meetings with Engineers, Architects and Professionals
Communicate & Liaison with Government Authorities, Businesses and External Sake Holders,
Communicate & Liaison with Property Owners & Clients
Communicate and Deal with suppliers. Negotiate Prices – Machinery, Equipment & Materials
Visit site location, review drawings and plans
Comply with Commonwealth & State building regulations and laws
Comply with Health and Safety Regulations
Key experience requirements for this role:
Experience as a Construction Project Manager in the construction industry
Experience in contracts administration
Strong communication skills to liaise with all stakeholders including clients, consultants and the team
Be a team player but also have the right leadership qualities to get the best out of your team.
Ability to conduct audit reporting, record register management and quality control Computer proficient with the ability to use Buildsoft, Microsoft Office Suite including Projects.
Sound working knowledge of BCA, NCC and Australian Standards Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Experience in Cost control, monitoring and reporting
Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:
Education: Bachelor Degree or Higher Degree in related field
Australian Experience: At least 3 + years of Australian Experience OR
Overseas Experience: At least 3+ years of Overseas Experience
Specialist: Construction Project Management
Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder
